Pride & Bi+ Joy

Bisexuality is expansive. It invites us beyond binaries and challenges the idea that love or identity can be easily categorized. Bi+ people have always existed in the in-between, not because we are indecisive, but because we refuse to be confined. That fluidity is not something to overcome. It is something to celebrate.
From the beginning, bi+ people have helped shape this movement. Brenda Howard, a proud bisexual activist, played a pivotal role in organizing the very first Pride march following the Stonewall uprising. She also helped establish the idea of a full week of events around Pride, a rhythm of resistance and celebration that continues to this day. Her leadership reminds us that bi+ people have never been on the margins of our movement. They have been at the centre of its formation.
And yet, even now, bi+ people are often erased- dismissed in straight spaces, doubted in queer ones. That erasure is real, but it is not the whole story. Today, we honour bi+ joy, complexity, and resilience. Whether you are in a same-gender or different-gender relationship, single, fluid, or still figuring it out, you are not half anything. You are part of what makes Pride possible. And we see you.
