Happy Pride 2026!

Happy Pride Month!
Today marks the beginning of the month so many of us collectively choose to celebrate, remember, and rededicate ourselves to the work of 2SLGBTQIA+ equality, rights, and flourishing. We celebrate because our very being deserves celebration, not only because of victories achieved, but because dignity does not need to be earned. We remember because we stand upon the shoulders of people who fought, suffered, and sometimes died for freedoms many of us now take for granted. And we rededicate ourselves because the work is far from done.
Here at The Rainbow Well, we are committed to equipping people of faith for the work of mutual flourishing, which includes celebration, memory, and resistance. To that end, we will be posting every day this month across a spectrum of topics and themes. We will give particular attention to the people who are too often overlooked even within Pride: bisexual people, disabled people, Two-Spirit people, asexual and aromantic people, intersex people, queer immigrants and refugees, trans elders, rural communities, and queer youth. Because the edges of any movement reveal what it actually believes about human dignity.
Throughout the month, we will keep returning to three questions:
- Who is still waiting for true belonging?
- What does belonging actually require of us?
- What kind of communities are we building in response?
These are not easy questions. But they are the right ones. I hope you will join us this month as we reflect on what Pride means and what it demands, not only in June, but throughout the year.
Happy Pride!
