The Rainbow Well is always adding additional resources to the hundreds of books, organizations, movies, and more that we have listed. Often those additions are brand new resources just released. Other times, we’ve discovered older resources that we’d missed before and are excited to add. Just today we added nearly 30 new resources and organization listings, some brand new and others over a decade old.

While it is great to have such a diversity of resources, we want to offer a bit of careful caution. Few topics are as rapidly evolving and expanding as that of gender and sexuality, especially where religion is concerned. As a result, many older books that are profoundly affirming might use language or make references that are dated and even no longer in acceptable usage. If those difference cross the line to harmful, we listen to our readers and update our listings accordingly.

However, where it is a matter of cultural, historical, and/or religious context that is not harmful, we will still list those resources. Just be mindful of that fact as you explore new material, especially older content and/or material that comes from an unfamiliar tradition.

We also encourage all of us- whether part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or those seeking to practice solidarity and allyship with us- to keep on learning. As always, a great place to start is our Rainbow Well 101.
